Dr. Dee: From Pain to Purpose

 I speak the language of pain fluently—not from a textbook, but from lived experience. Like many of the women I serve today, I once carried a heaviness that seemed too great to bear. I knew what it felt like to struggle with identity, to battle anxiety and negative thought patterns, to wonder if healing was even possible. My journey took me through places I never wanted to go, yet led me exactly where God needed me to be. I earned my Doctor of Social Work, specialized in trauma therapy, and conducted groundbreaking research with 110+ military personnel on sexual assault and trauma recovery. I founded Glass Soldier to serve survivors of military sexual trauma, and currently serve as a Prevention Coordinator for the Department of the Army while teaching future social workers at the University of Kentucky. But through all of this work, I kept seeing the same pattern: brilliant, faithful women who needed more than traditional therapy—they wanted their faith and their healing to work together, not exist in separate compartments.

That's when I discovered Dr. Caroline Leaf's Neurocycle research and realized Scripture and neuroscience aren't at odds—they're beautifully aligned. Romans 12:2 isn't just inspirational; it's neurological. Isaiah 61:3 isn't metaphor; it's methodology. The exchanges God offers aren't spiritual platitudes—they're practical pathways to transformation. So I created Kairos Coaching to bridge that gap, combining clinical expertise with proven neuroscience and unshakeable faith. I don't just teach theory—I offer transformation born from my own journey through the fire.
